Dr Shahnaj Husne Jahan, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh presented a talk at SPAFA on ‘A Journey to Buddhist Archaeological Sites in Bangladesh’, transporting her audience to parts of Bangladesh, where many archaeological sites attest to the influence of Buddhism.
She informed more than thirty participants at her talk that Bangladesh possesses a unique place in the history of Buddhism as the last stronghold of Buddhism (until the twelfth century CE), and how, prior to the twelfth century CE, Buddhism was able to prosper and flourish in all over Bangladesh.
