SEAMEO SPAFA is pleased to share an opportunity from our partner, the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific (WHITRAP Shanghai) — a UNESCO Category 2 centre dedicated to capacity building, research, and knowledge exchange for World Heritage conservation across the region.
Heritage practitioners are invited to submit examples of Good Practices demonstrating how World Heritage contributes to sustainable development, under the 2026 theme “Knowledge & Skills.” Eligible initiatives may include activities that transmit heritage knowledge, strengthen education and training, or build professional and community capacity across cultural and natural heritage contexts.
The call is open to individuals and organizations involved in the conservation and management of World Heritage properties and sites on national Tentative Lists. Selected cases will gain international recognition and visibility through global heritage knowledge-sharing platforms.
