SEAMEO SPAFA invites you to the SPAFA Building for the exhibition – Centennial Celebration: The Legacy of Prof. M.C. Subhadradis Diskul as SEAMEO SPAFA Centre Director.
Prof. M.C. Subhadradis Diskul was born on 23 November 1923. He was the very first Centre Director of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA) in Bangkok, Thailand from 1987 to 1993. He was known by many as a great art history teacher who contributed greatly to the cultural heritage scene in Thailand. He was the first to introduce Art History courses in Thailand, and he played a major role in the return of the stone lintel of Phnom Rung Temple in northeastern Thailand from the Art Institute of Chicago, just to name a few of his many contributions.
In celebration of Prof. M.C. Subhadradis Diskul’s centennial birth anniversary, SEAMEO SPAFA welcomes you to the SPAFA Building (Social Wing) for an exhibition showcasing his many works and achievements.
The exhibition is open to the public from 24 Nov 2023 until 29 Feb 2024 (except weekends and public holidays) from 9:00-16:00 hrs (BKK time). Admission is free.
*On 23 Nov 2023, a ceremony will be held at SPAFA to officially open the exhibition. The Opening Ceremony is a closed event for invited guests only.
