At the 48th SEAMEO Council Conference – the summit of all SEAMEO meetings – held in Pattaya, Thailand on 6-9 May 2015, the Minister of Ministry of Education, Thailand, was appointed as the new SEAMEO Council President for the term from 2015-2017.
On 13 July 2015, H.E. Admiral Narong Pipathanasai, Minister of Education of Thailand, visited the SEAMEO SPAFA Centre in his role as the newly elected SEAMEO Council President.
