On the occasion of the 131st anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Education (MOE) Thailand, SEAMEO SPAFA has set up a display of her “Watercolour Painting Exhibition: Cultural Heritage of Southeast Asia” at the Ministry of Education Thailand. The display will be on exhibit from 1-30 April 2023.
SEAMEO SPAFA Centre Director, Mr Khemchat Thepchai, together with SPAFA staff and the artists who painted the watercolour artworks – namely: Sattha Homsawat (LaFe), Larp Ampairat, Sanan Rattana and Wisit Pimpimol – were present at Ministry of Education Thailand on 1 April 2023 to welcome Ms Treenuch Thienthong, Minister of Education; Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich, Deputy Minister of Education; Mr Nirutti Suthinon, Vice Minister to the Minister of Education; Dr Chaiyapruek Saerirak, Adviser to the Minister of Education Thailand, as well as senior teachers, administrators, government officials and personnel of MOE Thailand to the exhibition. Along with the exhibition, SEAMEO SPAFA organized an accompanying watercolour painting workshop by the artists and art students.
The paintings currently on display at the Ministry were from the first set of paintings displayed at the SPAFA Building from December 2022 to February 2023.
