SEAMEO SPAFA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Hatthaya Siriphatthanakun as the new Centre Director, effective 1 October 2025. Her appointment, following the nomination by the Ministry of Education, Thailand, will run until 30 September 2028.
Dr. Hatthaya is a familiar face at SEAMEO SPAFA, having served as the Centre’s Senior Specialist in Cultural Heritage Management for several years. In that role, she spearheaded initiatives that promoted cultural heritage awareness, community engagement, and regional collaboration across Southeast Asia.
With her wealth of experience and dedication to the field, Dr. Hatthaya now takes on the leadership of SEAMEO SPAFA. Under her direction, the Centre looks forward to strengthening its programmes in archaeology, fine arts, and cultural heritage, and to building meaningful partnerships across the region.
We warmly welcome Dr. Hatthaya Siriphatthanakun as she begins her three-year term as Centre Director, and we look forward with anticipation to the vision and opportunities that lie ahead.
