SEAMEO SPAFA joins the Kingdom of Thailand in celebrating the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s coronation. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun (King Rama X of the Chakri dynasty) succeeds his father, the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX), in taking over the throne. Although King Maha Vajiralongkorn has been officially king since December 2016, his coronation was postponed in reverence for his father’s passing.
The three-day coronation ceremony will run from 4-6 May 2019.
