SEAMEO SPAFA wishes you a Happy New Year 2020

Emblazoned on SEAMEO SPAFA’s New Year’s card 2020, a sketch of the SEAMEO SPAFA Centre’s facade is used as a sign of welcome to visitors wishing to enhance their knowledge of the Southeast Asian region’s archaeology, fine arts and conservation of cultural heritage. The SEAMEO SPAFA building also includes architectural elements from Southeast Asia – such as an Indonesian-styled split-gate at the entrance, Malaysian-styled pointed arch openings, Philippine-styled ornamental motifs, a roofing in Thai style, and structural forms reflective of Bagan stupas and Khmer monuments – all of which symbolizing SEAMEO SPAFA’s commitment to regional cooperation.
